For those of you who have already purchased Paper Doll, thank you! I have heard from numerous people who have read it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Besides online, I have sold a bunch of copies at comicons in Kansas City and Wichita, with a con in Indianapolis coming up.
The last month has been particularly busy. I’m working with two Air Force museums to have copies of Paper Doll sold at their bookstores (not a done deal yet); met with a film producer to whom I’m optioning the Paper Doll film rights; hired a voice actor to produce the audiobook version of Paper Doll; and have an actor interested in one of my screenplays (which I just finished rewriting).
Whew! I need to breathe after all that. Now, the fact is, I need results. None of the above means anything without results. The Air Force museums have to agree to sell the book; and the actor has to want to move forward with my screenplay—optioning of the film rights to the producer and the audiobook are happening.
I have also conducted two interviews. The first interview was with my childhood friend Kimberly, who has been a radio personality for many years. She has hosted her own podcast for the past year and it is viewable here:
(Note that it’s a political show, so the hosts turned to politics a few times.)
The second interview was also on a political show, but it was focused less on politics and more of a discussion about how we use language—correctly and incorrectly—to score political points in our society.
So, things are happening. I’m moving in the right direction. I have a LONG way to go to get where I need to be as an author and writer, but it’s nice to see some doors opening. Now I just need to continue to sell novels, so tell your friends about Paper Doll, think Christmas gifts, and pick up a copy for yourself while you’re at it.
Paper Doll is now on sale at Barnes and Noble’s website, both as a paperback and eBook.
Take care.
